The Greens have achieved a swing of more than 5% across the state compared with the 2007 federal election.

This included massive swings to the Greens in some South-East Queensland electorates, such as Brisbane (where Andrew Bartlett received over 20% of the vote), Ryan in Brisbane's west, Fairfax and Fisher on the Sunshine Coast, and Moreton in Brisbane's south.

Full results are available on the ABC election website.

In the news:

Larissa Waters takes office in July 2011.

Until then, Larissa does not have an office, staffing, resources or a wage to help her respond to correspondence, requests for meetings and support.

Larissa is keen to build on the momentum of rising Greens support but we would appreciate your patience and understanding until Larissa starts work next July.
